Humberto Puim Pimentel, 72, of East Providence, RI, passed away peacefully on April 29, 2024, after a short battle with cancer, surrounded by his loving family.
Humberto, known to many as "Capitao", was a son to the late Maria C. Puim and the late Joao Pimentel, and a brother to the late Natalia Furtado and the late Dimas Pimentel.
Humberto leaves behind his wife Maria Natalia Pereira, four children, Christina Pimentel, Steven Pimentel, Carla Pereira, and Elias Pereira, Five siblings, Simas Pimentel, Ana Garcia, Fatima Aragao, Jeremias Costa, and Joao Manuel Pimentel, ten grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
Humberto was the life of the party everywhere he went. He loved music and DJing for his family and friends. He was kind-hearted and would help anyone who needed it. He had extreme love for his animals, especially for his dog "Chi-Chi" whom he treated like his own child and also leaves behind. He loved to ride around East Providence on his moped and loved fishing on his boat in his younger years. He will be sadly missed and will always hold a place in his family and friend's hearts.
Services will be on Saturday, May 4th from 9:00am to 10:30am at J F Skeffington Funeral Home and Cremations, 925 Chalkstone Avenue, Providence, RI followed by an 11:00am Mass at Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church, 21 Traverse Street, Providence, RI.
Burial will be private.
